Tony Richardson did finally reply to my Solicitor . . Albeit because I had told the Director of Financial Services Nathan Elvery that unless he did I would not pay my council tax. He wrote what he thought was a fairly innocuous letter. But there were a few little items missing from it. . . . As he well knew. Especially Question 4. “Can you assure me that the reason you will not act . . isn’t . . .that she has got the goods on you?” . . . Full letter with my reply.

IIt took one month for you to reply to my solicitor’s letter. That’s 30 days. (It took me 30 minutes to reply to yours.) Your reply “took longer than it should” as you put it. Was that because of Q4 Tony? Is that why your Corporate Complaints Dept, took 7 months ignoring the matter hoping it would go away instead? Is that why your Chief Executive David Wechsler wouldn’t comment on the matter. . . .hoping it would go away instead? Or why the Director of Planning Phillip Goodwin wouldn’t comment either after he knew I’d found out about it?

As it was designed to do no doubt . . ..”we are currently thinking we should achieve a successful conclusion more quickly by pursuing discussion.” . . .TO THE GULLIBLE THAT IS. . . . . . Well it would have been reasonable 9 MONTHS AGO. If Croydon Council had acted honestly, reasonably and PROPERLY when The Chief Executive David Wechsler was first informed of the matter. It would have seemed reasonable more than A YEAR AGO when Phillip Goodwin was asked to conduct a “thorough review” of the planning permission. . . . . but failed to find that the flue is a nuisance, . . is a fire risk . . .contravenes the GAS regulations . . breaks every guideline that LBC have . . that it “is not in any way that approved” . . that the proprietor is trading despite SPECIFIC clauses to the contrary.
All now firmly established . . but took so long to do so.
AND FAILED TO FIND THAT THE PLANNING DEPT HAD LIED TO THE PLANNING COMMITTEE ON THE PRE PLANNING REPORT.

Councillor Tony Newman the Labour leader of the council said: "David Cameron acknowledges that Croydon's Labour council is leading the way in delivering a cleaner, greener environment, but Croydon's Tories are committed to cuts that would see the end of many recycling facilities in the borough.
"With Labour, Croydon Council will continue to invest in new recycling facilities for household and garden waste, while ensuring these services are efficient and cost-effective."
However, Croydon Conservatives rubbished Coun Newman's claims. Phil Thomas, shadow spokes-man for environmental services at the council, said: "David Cameron praised Croydon for the work it has done on pro-renewables, not recycling.
"How Tony Newman has the audacity to talk about recycling flabbergasts me. His council's recycling rate is 11.2 per cent, which is nothing to crow about.
"Neighbouring Conservative Bromley is recycling 26 per cent of its rubbish. We could do a much better job and the people of Croydon want to recycle more."
